Get Natural-Looking and Long-Lasting Tooth Replacement with Dental Implants
A dental implant is a titanium post that is inserted into your jaw and functions as a replacement root for a missing tooth. Implants can be used to support crowns, bridges and dentures. Implant-supported replacement teeth are the most durable, natural-feeling and functioning tooth replacement option. They are considered the modern solution for tooth replacement. It’s almost like having real teeth!

Our Dental Implant Procedure
Dr. Choi is meticulous in every step of the implant treatment process in order to provide high-quality results. Before any treatment begins, he will consult with you in detail so he can recommend the best options for your budget and goals. Because of his vast expertise and experience in placing dental implants, Dr. Choi can perform every aspect of dental implant treatment right here in our own office.
State-of-the-art 3D technology for accurate treatment
Before the implant surgery, Dr. Choi does detailed and extensive planning. He will first arrange for you to receive a 3D dental CT scan so he can view your jaws and oral structures in detailed, 360-degree view. Using special 3D implant planning software, he will then plan out each implant, mapping its exact location and angle.
When placing multiple implants at the same time, Dr. Choi may also make use of a surgical guide—a template that fits over your dental arch and guides each implant into its proper position. Using a surgical guide makes the procedure less invasive and cuts down on surgery time, while maintaining accuracy.
Beautiful, high-quality new teeth
Dr. Choi uses high-quality materials to create beautiful, natural-looking and well-functioning replacement teeth. He works with a top-of-the-line dental lab that has over 30 years of experience in creating implant-supported teeth.
To determine the specifications for the new teeth, Dr. Choi takes impressions with a digital 3D scanner, instead of using traditional “goopy” putty impressions. He then designs the new teeth using special software, which results in extremely accurate work. In this way, Dr. Choi can ensure that your new teeth will fit comfortably and will result in a well-aligned bite.
Keeping you comfortable
Dr. Choi is known for his gentle personality and his ability to put patients at ease. Patient comfort is his utmost priority during treatment.
To ease anxiety, Dr. Choi explains all procedures so you will know what to expect. He administers extremely gentle injections and ensures total comfort at all times. As an additional amenity, our friendly staff provide pillows and soft blankets in the treatment chair.
Dr. Choi is licensed in oral conscious sedation to provide additional relaxation when needed. Oral conscious sedation is lighter than IV sedation and is a safer procedure. It can be a very useful option for patients who have considerable anxiety about getting dental work done, or for patients who want to get a lot of work done in one visit.
To make payment as convenient as possible, we accept CareCredit® healthcare financing, so patients can pay for treatment over time. We accept all major credit cards and work with many dental insurance plans. Medical insurance may also cover certain procedures.
Patients who are able to pay for their treatment upfront are offered a courtesy discount.
Tooth Replacement Options with Dental Implants
Dr. Choi offers several tooth replacement options using dental implants. All of his implants and implant-supported teeth are created using the highest quality materials.
Single dental implants
To replace a single missing tooth, Dr. Choi recommends an implant topped by an aesthetic, long-lasting crown.
To replace multiple teeth in a row, Dr. Choi often places two or more implants and attaches a durable and natural-looking implant-supported bridge.
Removable implant-supported dentures
To replace a full arch of missing teeth, the most economical implant option consists of removable implant-supported dentures. These snap onto implants and are fully stable in the mouth. They are removed at night for cleaning, like with regular dentures.
The implants stabilize the denture so you don’t have to worry about your denture moving around in your mouth. They also provide better chewing power, so you can eat a wider range of foods.
Fixed-in implant-supported teeth
Fixed-in teeth are the strongest and most comfortable and natural-feeling option to replace a full arch of missing teeth. Once they are placed, they never have to come out of the mouth. The teeth can be made from either high-quality acrylic or ultra-strong zirconia porcelain. Because they are permanently fixed in and the implants are fully integrated with the jawbone, this option provides nearly full natural chewing power.
New Teeth in One Day
Dr. Choi provides full-arch, implant-supported new teeth during a one-day procedure. The use of special, advanced techniques during the New Teeth in One Day procedure usually eliminates the need for bone grafting, even if the patient has suffered a significant amount of bone loss. Almost everyone who needs a full arch of teeth replaced is a candidate for New Teeth in One Day.
Mini Dental Implants—Economical and Less Invasive
While conventional implants are a stronger, more durable option for tooth replacement, Dr. Choi often uses “mini implants” for patients who are not candidates for conventional implants. These implants are made of the same high-quality titanium as conventional implants, but they are narrower in diameter. They are used when there isn’t enough bone mass to support a conventional implant, when a patient cannot receive bone grafting, or when a patient is medically compromised.
While mini implants do not provide the same chewing power as regular implants, they still enable patients to enjoy many of the benefits that implant-supported teeth have to offer. On the plus side, mini implants are less invasive to place, and they are more economical than regular implants.
Dr. Choi is an expert in the use of mini implants. He gives mini implant training to other dentists in his own mini implant institute, and he has given many professional presentations on the subject. In 2012, he was asked by the American Dental Association to perform a live mini implant surgery session at their annual conference.
Dr. Choi evaluates each case individually to determine which type of implant is appropriate.
